people, places, things...

i spent a good part of this past fall and winter muttering under my breath that by the time that i'd left work for the day all of the good light was gone. on the weekends it rained more often than not, so though i'd been taking my usual sneaky pictures of people walking around new york city, i hadn't been getting all that many good pictures. therefore, i was pretty jazzed when the weather started getting nicer, and daylight sayings hit. that way, i could get out from work and still have enough good daylight to snap pictures of folks. here are a ton of pictures i've taken of people. there's no narrative or unifying theme other than the fact that the pictures below recount some of the folks and stuff i've seen this new york spring. (sit back and relax, folks... there's like 3 billion pictures)

Comments:
you've done it again!

This picture is quite possibly the best picture ever! I'm debating whether or not I need a new desktop.

heh. glad you like it, crap'n. i snapped that picture at a street fair a few weeks ago. the lady-cop was listening to some music from the cd booth she's standing in front of, and must've gotten really into it. i wasn't able to get a picture of the guy twirling her around, but at least i got something...

you capture a certain essense in people when you take their picture. it's like your stealing thier soul.

golly... thanks, jason. i pretty much just click the button on the camera when i see someone interesting looking and hope for the best. i take literally hundreds of pictures (such is the beauty of digital cameras...) and post the ones i like best. i guess i've got sort of an "even a broken clock is right twice a day" thing going.

I, too, like the Sexy Soul Oldies pic. So slice of America, to me.

I reiterate I need a new camera.
