mo' sto', mo' problems
a few weeks ago i went to MOMA to check out and take pictures of the dada exhibit they had going on there. once i got there, i realized it might be behoovey of me to take pictures of the loads of attractive european tourist lads who were visiting the museum. alas, like so many of the plans of mice and men often do, mine went awry. first off, the dada exhibit wasn't as exciting as i'd hoped. this is most likely because everything i know about dada i learned in comic books. also the pictures of foreign sexy people didn't really come out 'cause the lighting conditions in the museum aren't conducive to my sneaky picture-taking ways. ah well, i got over my problems pretty quickly for two reasons: i didn't have to pay to get into the museum 'cause i'd gone in on a friday afternoon when it's free, and i love moma gift-shop. in fact, i love most museum gift-shops. when i was little, my dad used to take me to the museum of natural history pretty often. the highlight of each visit was going to the gift-shop for some silly toy or book. these early adventures cemented in me a love of both museums and their gift-shops. it also doesn't hurt that the moma store is full of funny shapes, bright colors and shiny, shiny objects that my racoon-like mind is instantly attracted to. objects like these:

farm animal toys

plastic bowl

pitcher

plates

basket-box

trivet

metal bowl
oh, and bee-tea-double-you, all this stuff is available on the moma store website, obvs.
